Getting Started with Aledamail

5 min read

Aledamail is an email marketing and automation platform built around one core idea: you own your sending infrastructure. Instead of paying for a shared sending pool, you connect your own email service — Amazon SES, SendGrid, Mailgun, Postmark, or any SMTP server — and Aledamail handles everything above it: campaigns, automations, subscriber management, landing pages, and analytics.

What you'll need

Step 1 — Create your account

Go to mxa.aledamail.com/users/register and sign up with your business email. The free plan activates immediately — no approval needed.

Step 2 — Connect a sending server

Before you can send any emails, you need to connect a sending server. Go to Sending Servers in the left sidebar and click New Sending Server. Choose your provider and enter your API key or SMTP credentials.

Don't have a sending server yet? Amazon SES is the most cost-effective option for most users — around $0.10 per 1,000 emails. See our Amazon SES setup guide to get approved and connected.

Step 3 — Authenticate your sending domain

Once your sending server is connected, make sure your domain has SPF and DKIM records set up. Your sending provider will give you the exact DNS records to add. Copy them into your domain registrar (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.) and wait a few minutes for them to propagate.

Aledamail shows you your authentication status under Sending Domains in the sidebar.

Step 4 — Create your first list

Go to ListsCreate New List. Give your list a name, set your default sender name and email address, and save it. This is the list your subscribers will be added to.

Step 5 — Import your subscribers

Inside your list, click Import and upload a CSV file with your contacts. At minimum your CSV needs an email column — you can also include first name, last name, and any custom fields.

Step 6 — Send your first campaign

Go to CampaignsCreate Campaign, select your list, write your subject line and email content, and hit Send — or schedule it for a specific date and time. Aledamail automatically handles unsubscribes, bounce tracking, and open/click analytics.

Test before you send. Always use the Send Test option to preview your email in your own inbox before sending to your full list.
